EFT March 24 2017

Anyone who has read my book knows that I am a huge fan of EFT.  EFT is an acronym for Emotional Freedom Technique but it's commonly called tapping.

I read about tapping years ago but never understood it until I studied acupuncture.  Those who developed acupuncture mapped out meridians of chi or energy running through the body.  There are points on these meridians that are used to stimulate the flow of energy where it has been blocked.

Acupuncture is the most traditional method of stimulating those points but other methods have been developed i.e. laser, shiatsu massage and of course tapping.  I have the advantage of being able to give myself acupuncture but I use EFT as well.

I love walking in the woods and do so at least 3 days of the week.  I often tap while I'm walking.  EFT is great for releasing negative emotions but can also be used to reinforce the positive.

So, when I made up my mind to think and speak only about positive things, I decided to use tapping to help me.  I recommend the book "The Promise of Energy Psychology" if you want to learn about EFT but you can find instructional videos on Utube and get started right away.  Once you learn the basic formula you can easily incorporate it into your day.

While I'm tapping, I might say "I am grateful for . . . .", "I always have a choice"  "I choose to . . . . ."  "Everything always works out for me" etc.

EFT is a powerful tool for change.  Why not make it your goal this week to take 10 minutes to learn how to tap?  Then try incorporating it into your day for at least 5 minutes.
