Fall colours September 20 2014
One of the most beautiful places to see the fall colours is in Algonquin Park. I organize a hike there every year on the last weekend on September. Most people wait until Thanksgiving weekend but the leaves are usually on the ground by that time.
I just checked the fall colour report and 60% of the leaves in Algonquin have already turned. For some of the most gorgeous views in the park I highly recommend the Centennial Ridges trail but it is one of the more difficult hikes. Track and Tower is beautiful and has some interesting features. If even it's too difficult try Booth's Rock.
You'll not only enjoy the hike but also the drive to and through the Park. Bring your camera, I've seen plenty of moose! Maybe I'll see you there!!!
