Quit smoking with acupuncture October 05 2015

Four things you should know:

  1. There is an acupuncture "quit smoking" point.  It is called Tim Mee and is located on your arm.  However, it must be used in conjunction with other acupuncture points that will be chosen based on your needs.
  2. Acupuncture has been used for a long time to help combat addiction.  It can stop jitters, curb cravings, lesson irritability and restlessness, increase relaxation and help detoxify the body.
  3. Acupuncture can reduce cravings but it cannot change habits.  You will need support from family and friends.  Exercise. Find new smoke free activities.
  4. Simple acupressure techniques can assist with cravings between treatments.  You can give yourself an ear massage but even better - your acupuncturist can place "ear seeds" in specific points that you can stimulate by pressing.

Smoking is a complicated addition but many have been successful.  Imagine your new smoke free life at least once a day and you will find the motivation!
